Wine Description:

Part of our signature "Monogram" collection, this intense ruby red colored wine is made from select Petit Verdot grapes. It has a spicy, full, dry, tannic flavor. It serves very well with noble poultry, game dishes, Taggiasca olives and cheeses. Suitable for long aging, so would be a great addition to your cellar or as a gift to wine collectors!

Wine Cellar:

Tenuta Torciano Winery is situated in the heart of Tuscany, 35 minutes from Florence and 20 minutes from Siena, surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and a succession of unique greenery that features towering cypress trees, long stretches of beautiful vineyards, olive groves, forests of oaks and lovely villages.

When you visit Tenuta Torciano Winery, you will totally immerse yourself in Italian culture, together with a Tuscan family consisting of 13 generations of wine producers. Here you will experience warm hospitality and additional Tuscan traditions handed down from father to son.

Area of Production:

Located in central Italy along the Tyrrhenian coast, Tuscany is home to some of the most important wine areas in the world. Toscana IGT is the most famous - and most commonly used - of the Typical Geographical Indication (IGT) titles in Italy. The geographical region it indicates is, in short, Tuscany. Toscana IGT wines can be produced in any area within the 10 provinces of Tuscany.

Grapes:

Petit Verdot is a grape originating from the Médoc area in France, where it is used for the production of Bordeaux, and is also widespread in California. In Italy, the Petit Verdot is able to express itself in a truly excellent way in Tuscany, in the Livorno Maremma, in the Grosseto Maremma and in the Agro Pontino in Lazio. Petit Verdot is a very demanding grape for maturation and often its best potential is expressed far from the places of origin. Petit Verdot ripens late, and therefore offers excellent results in areas characterized by a warm climate, very sunny, constantly ventilated and with very little rainfall during the vegetative phase.
