Three red Tuscan blend wines

Trecento –Wine Description: Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese The sun-filled, early-maturing vintage perfectly expresses the qualities of Trecento . The wine appears an intense, youthful fruit that is fully ripe yet at the same time crisp and lively, backgrounded by delicate nuances of balsam and toastiness. On the palate, the powerful concentration immediately impresses, as do the tannins, massive yet silksmooth and glossy, which allows the wine to completely fill the mouth but with no feeling of heaviness. The finish, near endless, is deliciously pungent and spicy, with a welcome crispness throughout. The Sangiovese, from the Latin "Sangius jovis", is the predominant grape-variety in this wine and the calm, elegant characteristics of the Cabernet give this wine ample olfactory complexity and greater strength to both body and flavor. Bright and intense ruby red color. Enveloping, elegant, classic perfumes with fruity and balsamic notes that duet each other in a delicious organoleptic balance. Taste of extraordinary class, intact, with fine and velvety tannins. Very long finish. The prime quality and structure of this wine demand excellent first courses and risottos with sauces made from wild boar and hare, tasty red meat dishes such as roast game, vegetable soufflé and spicy mature cheeses.

Terrestre Our Terrestre, forming part of the line of Super-Tuscan wines linked to the great territory of our region, has proved to be a great success and has received an award at Vinitaly in Verona last April. This is a clone of the first grape Tuscany, mother of great Brunello. The Terrestre has a musky smell with sweet notes of dried leaves, characteristics of the Tuscan woods. The scent of vanilla derives from the first quality used for aging and the famous land of Montalcino, the quality of which exalt the natural scents. Recommend with the pasta with a sauce made from red meat or in conjunction with roast meat. In the month of Sept, in Tuscany, at the beginning of the month have occurred of thunderstorms, creating discomfort during the step of harvesting the grapes but helping to make an overall great wine

Sassicaia Bolgheri Sassicaia is a sumptuous red, with a precious ruby mantle, like the stone that gives it its color. The nose captivates with notes of ripe cherry, blackberry, currant, rosemary, lavender, raspberry leaves and herbaceous world, all accompanied by a hint of elegant oak note and slight hints of pipe tobacco. On the palate it is appreciated for its intensity, vigor of the arduous territory from which it comes, and a texture perfectly embroidered with freshness and flavor. Engaging: an expression to listen to and with intense nuances. He loves time and does not fear it, on the contrary, it best expresses the history that it contains in itself with aging. It is a masterpiece of the impervious land of Bolgheri, unique and with extensive evolutions; it is also the only one to have a confidential naming specification. An extraordinary excellence, daughter of a historic winery and symbol of the world of Italian wine!

The prime quality and structure of these wines demand excellent first courses and risottos with sauces made from wild boar and hare, tasty red meat dishes such as roast game, vegetable soufflé and spicy mature cheeses.

300 Years Anniversary of Tenuta Torciano, 1720-2020

Tenuta Torciano Winery includes fiftheen generations of winemakers who have been able to give life to high quality wines, where the knowledge of traditional methods is combined with modern technologies. The art of wine making is something that has been handed down from father to son, for the last 300 years, starting from 1720, an important heritage that today represents the secret of our success.

The Giachi family has been engaged in the production of wine for hundreds of years, since 1720. Bartolomeo Giachi, from Florence, settled in the territory of San Gimignano, everywhere known as a land of high-quality grapes. Throughout this period the family has personally managed the business with courageous and very often innovative decisions, always maintaining a fundamental respect for tradition and for the natural habitat. The company goal has always been to investe in wine-growing land to improve the quality of wine production both in Italy and abroad. In 2002 to continue the family tradition, they took the ownership of the ancient Chigi Tower, one of the fourteen historical towers still left in San Gimignano. This tower features a complex medieval history and a private collection of historical documents about the Vernaccia white grapes, cultivated in our estate.

Pierluigi Giachi is at the same time owner and winemaker of Tenuta Torciano and carries on the centuries-old tradition together with his wife Luciana and and their children Emanuele and Vittoria. Tradition, passion, instinct and love are the guiding principles that have lead the management of the company by the Giachi family, who in 2020 will celebrate its 300 years of activity, during which the art of making wine has always been handed down from father to son.
