Morellino di Scansano is an Italian wine appellation in southern Tuscany. This wine was born in the territory of the Tuscan Maremma, in the vineyards and in the cellar of Scansano. The wines are dry reds from the Sangiovese grape variety, known here as Morellino. They are produced in the rolling coastal hills around the medieval village of Scansano. The nose reveals beautiful notes of small red fruits, spices and a light note of goudron, to embellish the olfactory profile. On the palate it is full and balanced, with mature and well-developed tannins, of great persistence. Perfect to accompany red and white meats, it is ideal with cold cuts and cheeses.
Chianti "Monogram" DOCG 2020
